The Society runs a range of events to examine and discuss key issues in R&D, to reflect on the applicability of good practice from one market sector in others, and to encourage networking between attendees from a variety of backgrounds and sectors. Our events are announced as details are finalised in the event listings below and in our email updates.
The majority of our events take place in London. Unless otherwise stated, our events are open to members and non-members alike. Members receive a substantial discount on the attendance fees. Where available, the slides provided from speakers are made available to members. Previous newsletters and slides are available in the Members' room.

Types of events
Our meetings have a friendly, open atmosphere that encourages contributions from the audience and networking.
Afternoon seminars are organised by the Society's Special Interest Group on Innovation and Best Practice. These are usually arranged to coincide with our evening meetings of the R&D Society.
Our evening events are programmed from autumn to summer, and consist of keynote talks and panel discussions, followed by a drinks reception. Some evening events are followed by an informal dinner, at which discussion continues under the Chatham House Rule.
